Des Moines Grand Prix Series at Dahl’s

The Capital City Players’ affiliate is proud to announce the Des Moines Grand Prix Series at Dahl’s, new for 2010. This will be a series of four tournaments held at the Dahl’s Grocery Store in Ankeny, Iowa.

Each event will be a four round Swiss open. The entry fee will be $10.00 if received in advance and $15.00 at the site. Prizes will be as follows: Open-1st-$45.00, 2nd-$37.50, 3rd-$30.00. Under 1600-1st $22.50, 2nd-$15.00. (based on 16). All events will be held on a Saturday. Future dates will be announced within 60 days prior to the tournament.

The points (games won) from each tournament will be combined to determine each player’s total points for the series. Trophies will be award to players who finish 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in total points. Tentatively, the remaining tournaments will be held in April, June or July and August or September.
